Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Advanced degree (J.D. MBA, MST) preferred. Certified Public Accountant(CPA) certification preferred. Must have 7 years experience in a corporate tax environment with responsibility for income tax accounting, tax research and compliance. 2 years experience with corporate taxation in the health care or insurance industry preferred. Leadership experience is required. Must have ability to meet strict internal and external deadlines and maintain composure. Should have ability to identify and remove barriers to process improvements and change. Must have demonstrated project management skills. Advanced knowledge and experience of ASC 740, FIN 48 and SSAP101 reporting. Should be Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
