Court Specialist
The candidate will contact courts and other data sources in order to conduct (in person, by phone, or online) criminal/civil and other forms of record checks as part of an employment background screening report (consumer report), ensuring complete, accurate and up-to-date information is obtained and reported within prescribed guidelines and deadlines. Contact courts to request information beyond what is available on public index. Coordinate the pulling and review of physical court files. Conduct data processing, skip tracing, file retrieval, result analysis, and other investigative tasks/. Update Accurate ACE and/or ATM with the information gathered from the courts and other data sources. Liaison with Records and other departments, as needed, to complete assignment or obtain clarification. Other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years’ work experience (in an office environment), preferred. Previous experience as a paralegal, law firm assistant, or court records researcher, preferred. Familiarity with FCRA a plus. Should have ability to work independently, demonstrate personal initiative, exercise sound judgment. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Internet research. Type 45 WPM or greater.
