Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will have basic administrative support including correspondence, digital and hard-copy filing, copying, client and phone reception. Prepare and file legal documents. Provide litigation support to attorneys. Draft, proofread, and edit documents (Microsoft Word, Excel). Edit and Assemble PDFs using Adobe Acrobat. Email correspondence. Data Entry. Maintain communication with clients and provide information as necessary. Track incoming and outgoing correspondence and legal filings. Calendar management - maintain schedule and appointments for attorneys. Update case files and notes. Assist with general office support and deliver a great work product.
Qualification and Experience
A High School Diploma required. Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred. Must have excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.). Must be internet savvy and comfortable learning new software. Should have excellent grammar and spelling skills. Experience with legal practice management software is a plus. Basic accounting or book keeping skills are a plus.
