Employment Counsel The candidate will be responsible for handling employment law matters with primary emphasis on global immigration matters and providing legal advice in a broad range of legal and regulatory compliance areas. Will serve as subject matter expert on immigration matters. Review and submit documents for each immigration case, including responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs). Assists Human Resources in preparing and maintaining all required public access case files for immigration cases. Review and coordinate with Human Resources on immigration eligibility documents for potential immigration cases, including green card eligibility in the EB-1, EB-2 or EB-3 preference category, PERM labor certifications and H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, TN, etc. qualifications. Communicate clearly and effectively on immigration requirements, government procedures, and case processing times to Human Resources, employees and business leaders. Provide immigration training and guidance to associates and managers. Must have a law degree from an ABA accredited law school, be admitted to the Kansas State Bar, and have 1+ year of experience either in-house or in private practice with demonstrated knowledge of immigration law.
