Legal Editor The candidate will develop concise case summaries of important court and administrative rulings involving special and general education law for online and subscription-based resources including Special Ed Connection. Will summarize legal decisions and agency guidance in a format and style designated to convey the impact of the decision to the reader in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manners, as well as: File a minimum of 3 cases daily for inclusion in subscription products. Prepare legal compliance features for Special Ed Connection. Respond quickly and efficiently to subscriber inquiries. Follow AP, Bluebook and LRP-specific style guidelines. Review case summaries and other work product for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors. Should have Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school. Should have 1+ year of experience of legal writing and research experience. Proven ability to read and efficiently summarize case law is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is essential.
