Profile

Senior Attorney - Contracts Duties: Reviews and revises all contracts and vendor services agreements and assists in negotiation of same. Responds to requests from stakeholders on contract management issues, policies, and procedures. Maintains an up-to-date and effective knowledge of company products and service offerings. Maintains business focus that balances the needs of the company for profitability against ensuring the contractual terms and conditions protect the company and minimize risk. Ensures consistency of contract terms with company’s policies and goals. Monitors the status of key transactions and reports on status or issues to stakeholders. Oversees contract submission, review, and vendor management process, designing and developing changes, as needed. Designs and conducts targeted review of current contract system and create recommendations commensurate with identified and expected risk. Designs and establishes proper protocols for compliance with contracting guidelines. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Engages with assigned business units to meet goals. Pursues details and achieves closure on various matters. Occasional travel as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited high caliber law school. 7+ years of consumer lending law-related experience. Candidate must be a member in good standing with a state Bar. Expertise in drafting and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple high-level projects, strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in fast paced, heavy work environment. Must be able to manage and progress projects independently with minimal supervision. Consumer finance regulatory experience required, including knowledge of TILA, FCRA, and Fair Lending laws and regulations, as well as other applicable state and federal laws impacting consumer finance, data privacy and data security. Experience with vendor management practices and third-party vendor oversight is desired. Expert-level drafting and writing skills with experience composing and revising contracts. Superior legal research and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Self-Starter/Independent worker. Highly organized. Ethical integrity necessary to handle extremely confidential and sensitive client matters. Appreciate strong company values and demand high standards of conduct from self and others. Assertively take on challenging responsibilities and be accountable for results and performance. Ability to work independently and pay close attention to details. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
