Internships The program will engage young adults in government. Interns will learn about the legislative process and how Congressional offices are run. Interns are involved in a wide range of tasks. Will be putting together press clippings, researching issues, answering phones and more. Will learn about a wide variety of issues important to our region and nation. Gain first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of the federal government. Internship responsibilities include, researching constituent requests, drafting correspondence, constituent outreach, keeping up to date on local and national issues, and data entry. There are also opportunities for long-term research and outreach projects. Interested in government, law, public policy, or social sciences. Energetic, self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and be familiar with Microsoft Office.
