The candidate must have 4+ years of privacy and digital media experience. Should preferably have worked closely with clients in one or more of the following areas: counseling companies regarding federal and state privacy statutes (CCPA, COPPA, CalOPPA, FTC Act, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, ECPA, etc.); counseling clients regarding data security protocols, data breach response, and/or internal data and privacy governance policies; drafting and revising online privacy policies and terms of use; counseling clients regarding payment issues, such as money transmitter laws and Bank Secrecy Act, payment card rules and negotiations, gift card, escheat and stored value laws; and counseling client on international data privacy laws, particularly regarding GDPR compliance. In-house experience is valued and more experienced attorneys are valued and welcome.
