Legal Assistant, Temporary Duties: Help manage federal and state court filings, case files, discovery, depositions and trial preparation for cases. Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Working knowledge of MDL. Ensures filings are in compliance with court rules and filing and e-filing documents therein, specifically in California state and federal court. Assisting attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Paralegal certificate (CLA/CP Certification) from an ABA accredited school preferred. 2-3 years of legal experience to provide overall support to attorneys' business needs is required. Previous Experience with trials, case investigation, analysis, discovery, law and motion and case management are needed. Class action law experience required. Bilingual with English/Spanish - both written and spoken. Familiarity with legal research. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. Self-starter. Outstanding organization skills.
