Equal Employment Specialist, DA 4 Duties : Serve as a Equal Employment Specialist in the Corporate Operations Group, Total Force Strategy and Management Department (TFSMD), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Diversity Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Analyze information from numerous sources (e.g. interviews, document review, statistical data) to resolve employment discrimination complaints. Advise managers, supervisors, and employees about reasonable accommodation regulations and practices. Serve as a spokesperson on special emphasis program matters in meetings with employee groups. Process requests for reasonable accommodation in accordance with program regulations. Advise managers on diversity and inclusion strategies for protected groups.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification : Must have 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or DA-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Providing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counseling at the informal complaint stage to employees and applicants for employment; 2) Conducting trend analysis, fact-finding, attempting resolution and interacting with all levels of employees and management during resolution process; 3) Identifying and recommending changes/practices that are barriers to the EEO process; 4) Conducting investigations into complaints and issues pertaining to discrimination; and 5) Developing policy guidance for the counseling and investigative process.
Education: Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
