The candidate's responsibilities include: researching and analyzing legal statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of judicial and quasi-judicial bodies; examining legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting a lawsuit; presenting and summarizing cases and case law; interpreting laws, rulings and regulations to individuals and corporate clients; reviewing and analyzing legal documents; drafting and filing legal briefs, opinions, motions, and pleadings for state and federal courts as well as federal bankruptcy courts; conducting fact finding research and developing winning legal strategies and arguments; representing clients in court and arbitration proceedings as well as before governmental agencies; and attending and taking depositions.
