Assistant General Counsel The candidate will be responsible for providing complex legal advice, consultation, and policy analysis and interpretation in numerous areas of law and policy, including functioning as lead counsel for accountable care, payor and provider relationships, under the guidance of the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Will be supporting transactional work of firm's and its affiliated organizations, including responsibility as lead counsel on appropriate matters. Functioning at a level of skill, knowledge, and judgement that permits independent action, subject to oversight by the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Preparing written opinions and guidance for executive management team. Maintaining current knowledge of opinions, orders, decisions, developments, existing and proposed state and federal regulations and other matters of interest to the organization and advises management of impact and compliance strategies. Must have JD degree or equivalent from ABA accredited law school. Should have demonstrated experience in legal and regulatory framework governing hospital and health care operations. Must have 7 years of relevant health care law experience in corporate, public or private law firm setting. Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA accredited law school is required. Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Washington. Prior experience in a major law firm or in-house experience in a large, complex organization is a plus.
