Management and Program Analyst Fraud Detection And National Security - GS 9 – 12
The candidate at developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity. Plan and/or conduct special studies. Provide technical assistance and support to management in a variety of matters relating to planning activities. Develop new and recommend changes to existing issuances and directives. Evaluate the applicability and effectiveness of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, agency directives, and other agency decisions on organizational operations, managerial programs and requirements. Represent the organization at internal and external meetings.
Should have following qualifications:
GS-9: Must possess 1 year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level. Providing assistance to higher graded analysts by developing background information for studies; Researching documents; compiling and charting statistical data; gathering, summarizing, and analyzing information for incorporation into final reports; Carrying out specified portions or segments of specific projects and identifying and recommending solutions to problems.
OR
May substitute successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university, or a J.D. OR L.L.B degree for experience at the GS-9 grade level. Such education must demonstrate the skills needed to do the work. A course of study in business administration, public administration, or related field is qualifying. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 36 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 2 years of full-time study requirement.
GS-11: In addition to the requirements at the lower grade level(s), qualify at the GS-11 level if possess 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, which has equipped with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have experience performing the following duties: Conducting studies to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in program operations; Using analytical techniques and statistics to assess issues related to management processes, systems and support programs.
OR
May substitute successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university, for experience at the GS-11 grade level. Such education must demonstrate the skills needed to do the work. A course of study in business administration, public administration, or related fields is qualifying. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended had determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 54 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 3 years of full-time study requirement.
GS-12: In addition to the requirements at the lower grade level(s), qualify at the GS-12 level if possess 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, which has equipped with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have experience performing the following duties: Conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on program operations; Conducting detailed analyses of complex functions and work processes; Participating in special studies; Supporting the development and evaluation of policies and recommending actions to achieve program objectives and improvements. There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
