Housing Attorney The candidate will prevent tenant harassment and displacement throughout Manhattan. Will work on a variety of civil legal issues, with a particular focus on housing and government benefits. Responsibilities will include: conducting client interviews and intake; providing legal advice and information to low income individuals; representing clients in judicial and administrative forums; conducting community legal education workshops and working collaboratively with staff and other social service providers; supervising volunteers and legal interns; and interfacing with private law firm pro bono partners. Must have 2+ years of relevant experience and be admitted to the New York Bar. Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred.
