Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Advisor to join its Patent Prosecution & Litigation team, specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. This role will be pivotal in assisting legal professionals with technical matters related to patent prosecution, litigation, and the development of strategic legal arguments in the areas of electrical engineering, software, and telecommunications.

Duties:

  • Provide technical support to attorneys in patent prosecution and litigation matters within the Electrical Engineering & Software domain.
  • Analyze complex technical data and assist in the preparation of patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct prior art searches and assist in the preparation of invalidity and infringement analyses.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to draft legal arguments in patent-related disputes and litigation cases.
  • Assist in preparing expert reports, depositions, and testimony for patent litigation cases.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments in technology, patent law, and industry standards, especially in the areas of wireless communication technologies (., 5G, 6G, and 3GPP).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in wireless communication technologies, including 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards, is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to solving technical and legal challenges.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Skills:

  • Technical proficiency in electrical engineering, computer science, or software development.
  • Expertise in wireless communication protocols and standards (5G, 6G, 3GPP).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in prior art searches and patent analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
