An expanding family law and litigation group is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal services to clients, including litigation, settlement negotiation, and trial participation. Location:

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to understand legal needs and provide advice on family law matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Administer depositions and propound/respond to discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and write motions and other legal documents.
  • Make court appearances and argue motions.
  • Participate in trials, hearings, and mediations.
  • Interview witnesses and provide legal support in settlement negotiations and arbitrations.
  • Manage family law cases and perform related tasks as required by partners.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in California.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent client service skills with a commitment to timely communication.
  • Strong desire to make court appearances and argue motions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong drafting, negotiating, and legal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage workflow independently to meet deadlines.
  • Courtroom experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar membership.
