Legal Assistant-Part Time The Candidate will manage and maintain Document Database, summarize legal documents, maintain corporate records and track contract renewals and deadlines. Will draft and review legal documents of varying complexity. Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, case law, legal articles, treaties, administrative codes, etc. and summarize findings. Assist in drafting form templates, policies, and procedures. Track SAM copyrights and trademarks and renewal dates. Manage outside counsel budget and invoices. Act as effective and responsive liaison between legal department and other departments. Conduct initial analysis of requests for legal review submitted by the various departments, provide summary of requests and track requests and responses. Maintain legal filing system, and organize records and files. Administrative duties, including coordinating and scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, preparing expense reports, etc. Maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion and tact in daily work.

Qualification and Experience

The Candidate should have Bachelors Degree. Must have Paralegal Certificate. Should have 2-4 years of experience in In-House Legal Department or law firm. Database experience is plus. Understanding of legal principles and terminology is desired. Strong proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook is plus. Ability to adhere to Museum policies and to support management decisions in a positive, professional manner is asset.
