Docket Specialist The candidate will be responsible for computation of deadlines and calendaring of events using the CompuLaw Vision Docket System. Responsibilities include updating CompuLaw to maintain accurate docket calendar. Perform case related research at court and on-line and retrieve court documents. Review electronic and hard copy filings for content and format compliance with court rules. Serve as liaison between the firm's attorneys and court personnel. Combination of college level training or paralegal certificate along with experience that demonstrates an ability to do the essential functions of the position required. Must have 2+ years of experience as a general litigation calendar or docket clerk or as a paralegal, legal assistant or legal support role with docket responsibilities. Should have a broad knowledge of federal and state rules of procedure, local rules and court practices, and other applicable rules and regulations. Knowledge of CompuLaw (or similar docketing software), Pacer, Lexis-Nexis, CourtLink, Westlaw and MS Office required. Should have ability to rely on knowledge of federal, state and local rules of procedure and practice, to ensure that all deadlines reflected in court filings are accurately recorded and incorporate any client requirements into case management calendars.
