Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for handling Attorney litigation cases. Will have responsibility of processing suits to attorneys in GG&R authorized network in system, processing check request to accounting with costs associated with the suits in process. This involves gathering all the related documents, backup, contracts, invoices, statement of account, copies of checks. There is a need to double check all the related material prior to processing the suits to the attorneys so attention to detail is extremely important. The suit placement is also bonded with the law list associated with the attorney assigned which is located on the attorney profile so the client’s costs are bonded. The executed suit docs and increased contingency rate doc needs to scanned to the specified files. Once suits are filed then both clients and sales person associated with that placement need to be kept update to date by seeking updates from attorneys then reporting to sales, documenting the files, so then the sales person may report to the client associated with then is a client-plaintiff. Depending on the state suit is placed the range differs a little but typically the reports are sought 30 to 45 days then placed on the collection files. There are several files that need to be maintained by the Legal Forwarder which entails: Pre-legal, post placement litigation, post judgment litigation, legal Partial Payment file. All these files must be kept up to date so Sales, Management, and client-plaintiffs are up to date. Often the legal forwarder will need to communicate offers for post litigation settlements to sales so they may seek evidence with regards to approvals, counter offers, and denials to document and report to the attorneys to be the bridge of communication. There are situations when the Forwarder will need to offer research through our approved search engines to assist in making closing decisions on post judgment files that become dormant. Sales may need answers on process, status updates, and final decisions on files that the forwarder may need to answer and if the forwarder does not know then seek documented responses to advise Sales to relay the documented recommendations from our attorneys so the clients may make their informed decisions. The forwarder not only processes but is the eyes and ears for the client-plaintiffs/GG&R to make certain the client-plaintiffs investment into their suits goes as smoothly as possible hence the need to strong follow up and communication skills with all departments: accounting, sales, clients directly rarely, attorneys. A College degree preferred. Legal or agency collections background a plus.
