Job Overview:
A leading law firm is actively recruiting a talented and experienced Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of patent prosecution experience with a focus on biotechnology. The role involves patent prosecution, IP diligence, IP-transfer commercial transactions, and strategic IP business counseling. A graduate degree in biological science is required, and a PhD is preferred. The firm seeks a candidate with strong academic credentials, excellent references, and admission to the patent bar. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage patent prosecution for biotechnology clients.
  • Conduct IP diligence for commercial transactions.
  • Provide strategic counseling related to intellectual property business decisions.
  • Draft and file patent applications, amendments, and responses to office actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide innovative IP solutions.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in patent law and biotechnology.
  • Maintain client relationships and guide clients on patent portfolio strategy.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in patent prosecution, with a focus on biotechnology.
  • Admission to the . patent bar is required.
  • Strong experience in IP diligence and commercial transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex cases simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic IP counsel to clients.

Education:
