Children’s Staff Attorney Candidate will be responsible for carrying a full case load which includes: frequent court advocacy at all types of dependency proceedings, attending and participating in mediations, negotiations, treatment team meetings and staffing’s, researching and drafting pleadings, and visiting and counseling child clients. Attorneys may also advocate for child victims of crime, including human trafficking.

Qualification and Experience Candidate must be member of the Florida Bar. Will have a background in dependency law, children’s law, or related areas such as child welfare services, and a commitment to improving the lives of children and families in the child welfare system. Will have an aptitude for working directly with children who have experienced trauma. Position requires excellent oral and written advocacy skills, a willingness to be an aggressive advocate for our child client population, and travel within Broward County. Bilingual applicants preferred.
