Legal Assistant The candidate will review, approve, and process purchase orders and project contracts. Will communicate internally with all levels of employees and externally with clients regarding purchase orders and project contracts. Conduct initial review and comparison of a variety of types of contracts including but not limited to master service agreements, project contracts, subcontracts, vendor contracts, etc. Conduct online legal research using LexisNexis. Scan, organize, and maintain the contract files and legal databases electronically. Obtain approval of annual rate schedules and term amendments for master service agreements. Monitor progress of open items within the legal department and follow up as needed to insure timely completion. Should have 3+ years of experience working as a legal professional; preferably in engineering and construction, or contracts. Must be proficient working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and “track changes”. Experience conducting legal research required; preferably using LexisNexis required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required. Proficient working knowledge and experience using Microsoft SharePoint preferred.
