Senior Attorney The candidate provides legal services to the Divisions of Unclaimed Property, Accounting and Auditing, and Treasury. Legal services include drafting legal documents, case analysis, and litigation before the Division of Administrative Hearings and circuit courts, appellate practice, drafting administrative rules and proposed legislation, and in-house counsel services. Must work collaboratively as part of a team of six attorneys. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools are needed. Knowledge of probate/estate, bankruptcy, debtor/creditor, insurance, and banking is needed. Should have 7+ years of experience practicing law. JD degree is required. Admittance to the Florida Bar is required. Should have 5+ years of experience practicing administrative law. Must have one hearing as lead counsel before the Division of Administrative Hearings. Excellent writing skills are needed. Experience supervising attorneys, particularly in government, is desired. Deadline: 20 March, 2018.
