Legal Assistant / Paralegal - Bilingual The candidate will perform general office duties such as typing, sending out faxes, operating office machines, and sorting mail. Will add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary. Filing and scanning correspondence, cards, invoices, receipts, pleadings and other records in alphabetical or numerical order or according to the filing system used. Work parallel with paralegals and/or attorney and assist them in filing, scanning, sorting etc. Draft minor pleadings. Other general office duties as assigned. Must have experience to assist with a growing law firm. Must speak Spanish and have experience managing social media. Should have clean criminal history. Subject to background check. Excellent word processing skills (intermediate to advanced level in Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat) is essential. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment is needed. Strong calendaring skills for both daily appointment calendar and legal calendar, e.g. deadlines, including all trial dates, post-trial deadlines, motion and opposition deadlines, discovery deadlines, etc. Coordinate client meetings, schedule conference rooms, and make travel arrangements as required. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and take initiative with little supervision. Sales and Social Media marketing experience is a plus.
