Job Overview:
A law firm in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong family law and litigation background, with a passion for advocacy and trial work. This role requires excellent time management, working independently and collaboratively, and superior client interaction skills.
Duties:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to provide accurate legal advice.
- Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and draft legal agreements.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and provide legal guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and court dates.
- Attend client meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law and litigation.
- Active Bar License in the state of Georgia.
- Proven track record of successful advocacy in family law cases.
- Strong understanding of family law statutes, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for trial work and client advocacy.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
