Job Overview:

A law firm in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its team. Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law to provide accurate legal advice.
  • Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and draft legal agreements.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and provide legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and court dates.
  • Attend client meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law and litigation.
  • Active Bar License in the state of Georgia.
  • Proven track record of successful advocacy in family law cases.
  • Strong understanding of family law statutes, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for trial work and client advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in the state of Georgia.
