Job Overview:

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Advertising, Marketing, and Promotions Associate Attorney with at least 7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in various areas of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions. The role requires excellent legal writing and communication skills, a solid attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is preferred.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate advertising agency agreements, influencer and celebrity endorsement contracts, sponsorship, online media buying agreements, and other marketing and promotion agreements.
• Review advertising copy for compliance with false advertising standards, claim substantiation, intellectual property rights, and right of publicity issues.
• Provide counsel on compliance matters related to contests, sweepstakes, price advertising, recurring subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
• Offer legal advice and support on false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division disputes.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure marketing strategies align with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting advertising and marketing practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating various marketing and promotion agreements.
• Proven ability to review advertising copy and provide legal counsel on complex compliance issues.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent academic credentials, strongly emphasizing legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.

Certifications:
