A law firm located in Madison, WI, is seeking an experienced Lateral Transactional Attorney with a strong background in trust and estate planning, probate, contracts, corporate, and business law. The ideal candidate will have a substantial book of business and experience in public utilities and telecommunications law, which would be considered a plus. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to work efficiently with clients and meet their expectations. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee transactional matters related to trust and estate planning, probate, contracts, corporate, and business law.
• Develop and maintain a substantial book of business, leveraging existing client relationships and cultivating new ones.
• Provide legal advice and strategic planning for clients in areas of trust, estate, and corporate matters.
• Draft and negotiate complex contracts and business agreements.
• Handle public utilities and telecommunications law issues, if applicable.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality legal services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Stay updated on legal developments and industry trends to provide informed and effective counsel.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on trust and estate planning, probate, contracts, corporate, and business law.
• A substantial book of business and a proven track record of client management.
• Experience in public utilities and telecommunications law is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with clients and meet their expectations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the state of Wisconsin.
