The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and self-motivated, with 3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy law, particularly in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The role involves managing a caseload that includes litigated and complex bankruptcy cases, as well as handling court appearances. Admission to the PA Bar is required, and NJ Bar admission is preferred.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a diverse caseload of creditor's rights and bankruptcy matters, including both litigated and complex cases.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings and related hearings.
  • Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on bankruptcy and creditor's rights issues.
  • Handle creditor claims, debt restructuring, and negotiation of settlements.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide effective legal solutions.
  • Coordinate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and resolution.
  • Stay updated on relevant bankruptcy laws, regulations, and case law developments.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with specific experience in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
  • Proven ability to handle complex bankruptcy cases and creditor's rights issues.
