Recovery Attorney Paralegal The candidate will communicate with the plaintiff’s counsel to ensure claims accuracy at the time of settlement. Review and update medical claims data for relatedness. Provide timely, accurate responses to parties requesting updated payment statements. Collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to develop action plans on all files. Obtain status updates and fully document files as to tort claim status or any pending litigation relevant to the tort or reimbursement claim. Apply proper file handling procedures in accordance with Best Practices and Quality Assurance standards. Update team budget in accordance with team practices. Coordinate with all parties to conclude payment and closure of files. Anticipate and proactively communicate potential problems or concerns with the ability to respond to requests or meet deadlines. Collaborate and coordinate with business and matrix partners to identify and act on potential solutions. Maintain files in accordance with Best Practices. Complete tasks in accordance with deadlines and with minimal guidance. Identify and act upon opportunities for personal improvement and process innovation. Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information. A Paralegal certificate, Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years experience in subrogation/claims are required. Experience working in the health care industry is essential. Must have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. Should have the ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure.
