Corporate Paralegal Candidate will assist and support all aspects of a busy corporate practice, including: M&A transactions, securities offerings, joint ventures, partnerships, and commercial loan transactions.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have should have 4+ years of corporate / securities / transactional experience in a law firm. Will be experience in entity formation, lien and other searches, online research, maintenance of corporate and other entity record books, due diligence, drafting of agreements, Reg D and blue sky filings, Section 16 filings (Forms 3, 4 and 5) and closings. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and possess excellent typing, document/contract and organizational skills. Must also be able to communicate with clients effectively and efficiently.

Don't be afraid to take your work home with you for the first few weeks, it will help you get adjusted much more quickly.

Pros : I have been working for Akerman LLP for 2 years and I must say it's been a pleasure. Staff is super friendly and helpful, wonderful environment.
Cons : The scheduling can be tough to work with at times. It's a very busy firm with a very high workload, but it's manageable.
