Legal, Senior Paralegal Duties: Assist with the management of general employment law, non-immigrant visa portfolios, and claims administration in corporate legal department. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, will support the Legal department’s objective to identify areas of improved efficiency and processes in the provision of legal services. And, as a member of the Paralegal staff, provide valuable support to, and aiding the attorneys, including drafting documents, developing reports, conducting research, assisting with special projects and providing general litigation support. Assist Managing Counsel with handling and administration of immigration matters. Receive and manage the files of all administrative charges and civil litigation against the company alleging employment law violations. Conduct legal research into local, state and federal employment law to help support company’s compliance. Handle wage garnishments and subpoenas directed to company for employee-related information. Maintain and administer the litigation hold process.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) is required. Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Documented years of relevant work experience. Experience in a corporate law department and/or mid-large law firm. Employment law support experience, including experience managing non-immigrant visa portfolios. Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, databases.
