Conflicts and Ethics Attorney - Evenings and/or Weekends The candidate will work closely with the Associate Director of New Business Intake and a team of Conflicts and Ethics Attorneys. Reviews the firm’s new business intake forms and related documentation, including conflict reports, waiver letters, and engagement letters, and communicates with lawyers and staff on any changes or additional information that may be necessary before the firm accepts the new business. Review conflict reports, research corporate affiliations, and advise firm lawyers on conflict or relationship issues and relevant firm policies. Draft informed consent letters and engagement letters. Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Director of New Business Intake or Director of Conflicts and New Business Intake. Previous conflicts experience is preferred. A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) is required. Must be actively licensed and in good standing with a State Bar. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct. Should demonstrate sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, a strong work ethic, and are able to work well under pressure. Must also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage a heavy workload.
