Paralegal/Office Manager Duties: Creating and editing various types of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement forms; substantive legal research using the internet, Westlaw, and other legal authorities; E-filing using ProDoc website; managing client billing and tracking billable time; conducting potential new client interviews; preparing client intake documents; ordering and reviewing medical and billing records; drafting insurance demand letters; maintaining contact with clients; witness interviews and research; correspondence with court and opposing counsel; preparing attorney for mediations, hearings, depositions, and trials; ordering office supplies; managing accounts payable and accounts receivable; filing, both hard and electric documents; maintaining office calendars; and general office duties for the professional operation of a law firm.
