Assistant, Legal Talent Development Duties: Assist Global Chief Human Resources Officer and the Director of Legal Talent Development with day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, travel arrangements and expense reports. Assist Global Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director of Legal Talent Development and other members of the team with special projects that may arise. Effectively answer, track, forward and respond to phone calls for Chief and Director; provide back-up coverage for other members of the department. Schedule meetings, interviews, video-conferences; liaise with the appropriate departments for conference dining or audiovisual needs. Legal Recruiting:. Provide administrative support to the Director of Legal Recruiting (i.e. phone coverage, travel arrangements, expenses, etc.). Process lateral resume submissions (input into spreadsheet/database, check history, sort applications, create files, etc.). Coordinate paperwork for candidates and make necessary updates in charts/viRecruit. Assist with scheduling of interviews for lateral partner, lateral associate and summer associate candidates. Process invoices and reimbursements (recruiter fees, travel expenses, etc.). Reserve conference rooms and liaise with Conference Center on catering and audiovisual needs. Provide occasional support to non-NY offices with their recruiting needs (check history on applicants, schedule video conference interviews, greet candidates who are interviewing in NY, etc.). Available to help Director of Recruiting and other members of the recruiting team with special projects that may arise.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelorâ€™s degree required. 1+ year of law firm/law school recruiting experience and/or related professional experience required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred (esp. viRecruit). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High energy, works well independently, but also excels at collaborating with a team. Ability to keep calm and focused despite heavy workload or stressful situations. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with attorneys, candidates, administrative staff, and others. Exhibits high level of maturity and excellent judgment. Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with attorneys, candidates, administrative staff, and others.
