IP Paralegal The candidate will support senior IP attorneys and/or patent agents/technical advisors transmitting documents to respective clients via appropriate method of service and maintaining patent and trademark files for the Intellectual Property group as assigned. Will draft of USPTO documents, responses, client letters and other correspondence. Preparation of application papers for U.S., PCT and foreign patent applications. Daily review of attorney docket report and attend to completion of deadlines. E-Filing of documents via USPTO EFS and PCT SAFE. Prepare and maintain client status reports. Obtain copies of patents, file wrappers and other such documents as requested. Perform research as requested, using Private PAIR, TARR and other reference sources. Prepare and maintain client protocol requirements. Work with foreign attorneys and associates on foreign patent and trademark matters. Law firm experience a plus. Should have 2-6 years of intellectual property experience. General knowledge of patent law and practice a must; knowledge of trademark law a plus. Solid written and verbal communication skills are needed. Must be proficient with USPTO procedures and filing protocols. Should have strong client service skills and ability to follow client specific protocols. Proficiency in MS Word 2010 Suite, FileSite or iManage and Aderant are preferred.

Pros : Most people here are some of the best at what they do in the field and we get pay to match that experience.
Cons : The managers here are extremely strict and you will have problems if you have too many off days in a row.
