Criminal Paralegal
The candidate will be talking to clients on the phone, greeting clients at the office, opening and sorting mail, scanning and distributing discovery, preparing and filing pleadings, motions, coordinating receipt and review of discovery, assisting attorneys with management of cases on a day to day basis, preparing and sending correspondence, scheduling interviews and polygraphs, organizing and reviewing records, communicating with clients and the Courts and maintaining attorneys' calendars and schedules. 2 years of experience paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department is preferred. The ability to draft, proofread and edit correspondence, motions, jury instructions, and other legal documents is required. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook, with strong typing skills (75 wpm with accuracy). Trial preparation experience including putting together witness lists, exhibit lists, and trial exhibits is preferred.
