Internship – 2018 The intern will assist staff attorneys in record compilation and review, legal research, and drafting of appellate briefs and petitions for further appellate review. Intern will proofread drafts of briefs and motions. Serve as panel member for moot courts. Observe arguments in Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court. Draft memoranda of law addressing systemic and novel issues. Assist in preparation of petitions for interlocutory relief. Assist staff attorneys with statewide trainings to address systemic issues. 2L or 3L at accredited law school are considered. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines and strong analytical, research and writing skills is required. Note : Internship should comprise at least 17.5 hours/week and a minimum commitment of 8 weeks is expected.
