IP Paralegal The Candidate will be responsible to prepare legal documents and forms in relation with: Filing of patent applications to official authorities (USPTO); Geographical extensions of patent applications and national phases through a network of local agents or directly through official authorities. Filing patent applications and managing the administrative prosecution of patent applications between filing and grant, as well as ensuring maintenance. Prepare and file information disclosure statements. Ensuring all the docketing of a patent portfolio through an IP management system (deadlines relating to filings, official actions, publications, etc.). E- information management: electronic filing and up-loading of documents and emails in relation with patents cases, contracts matters, legal matters. Providing reports from the IP management database (attorney deadline listings, agendas for patent portfolio reviews and various reports for portfolio management purposes).
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High School diploma with 5+ years of experience as a patent paralegal (industry or private practice). Paralegal certificate a plus. Experience with an IP management systems. Excellent knowledge of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), knowledge of digital platforms type social networks and information sharing.
