Additionally, the associate will handle complex commercial and construction disputes.

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Duties:

  • Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in Native American law matters

  • Litigate complex commercial and construction disputes

  • Handle cases related to tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination

  • Provide legal counsel on Federal Indian Law and administrative law

  • Conduct trial preparation, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Federal Indian Law, litigation, or administrative law

  • Trial, deposition, hearing, and oral argument experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities

  • Effective oral advocacy and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously
