Legal Assistance for Victims Attorney - Civil The candidate provides information, legal direction, advice, and representation to qualified Turning Point clients who are seeking assistance in family law, protective orders, landlord-tenant, and other civil legal matters. Will coordinate services with all Turning Point Case Managers who are referring and working with clients in need of civil legal services. Should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.), be licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana, be a member in good standing of the Bar of Indiana, and have experience working with victims and survivors of intimate partner violence. Will be required to maintain professional boundaries in adherence with the Indiana Rules of Court, Rules of Professional Conduct. This role works with and is supervised by the Director of Legal Advocacy and works with non-residential case managers and emergency shelter staff to meet the immediate and long-term legal needs of survivors. The role is charged with creating a welcoming and responsive environment for survivors.
