Senior Proposal Manager The candidate will lead most strategic and high-profile proposals firm-wide and also in designated practice areas and key client relationships. Ensure all data gathering and processing for the firm’s proposals and pitches are accurate, consistent and submitted timely. Will actively collaborate with partners, marketing managers, and other key team members to develop clear, compelling, winning proposals. Pose questions that encourage a team to consider all aspects of the client’s position, and draw out essential messaging. Follow the firm’s proposal processes and work to refine and improve continuously those processes – including the go/no-go decision, developing a competitive strategy, preparing the interview team, and (after the hiring decision is made) debriefing the firm’s team and the prospective client to learn how the firm can compete more effectively in the future. Assist in drafting and editing proposal templates, as well as maintain the templates and disclosure requirements on firm wide and regional pitch book elements such as client names, profiles, experience lists, attorney biographies. General oversight for a centralized proposal management database system and will oversee the compilation and analysis of metrics regarding pitch and proposal preparation and respective win rates for reporting to firm management. Develop, organize and manage content for proposal documents and related collateral within the firm’s proposal generator tool. Manage contribution process and maintain version control. Work with design to develop creative and information graphics. Provide overall quality control for all pursuit materials; apply brand standards to proposals and presentations. Participate in regular meetings to share best practices, information, problem solving, etc. Develop and present activity reports that summarizes activity, success rate and progress on initiatives. Engage with partners to resolve any conflicts and needs that might arise. Demonstrate robust project management skills. Perform other duties, as assigned. Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position, consistent with the Firm’s attendance expectations. Should have a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8-10 years of marketing in professional services. Law firm experience beneficial. MBA or JD is a plus.
