Paralegal / Legal Assistant Duties: Assist in court hearing with administrative duties such as; distributing documents to parties, receive documents from parties, print out judgeâ€™s order, update case management system, etc. Prepare drafts, file and diary legal documents including complaints, judgments and garnishments. Performs routine record center support functions such as pulling files, creating folders, labeling, re-filing documents and shelving; packing boxes and preparing them for shipment; date stamping; retrieving case materials; answering phones; logging messages; faxing information, etc. Prepares documents for storage or for further data processing (i.e., copying). Input case information in database management system. Maintains records of proceedings.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: 2+ years of legal experience preferred. Experience with document/case management systems preferred.
