Night Document Services Center Specialist The candidate will provide additional administrative support for all attorneys, paralegals, and staff outside of regular business hours. Will be drafting and revising pleadings, preparing correspondence, transcribing dictation and hearings, and working on document clean up and formatting per attorney, paralegal, and staff management specifications. Provide assistance to secretaries, attorneys, and staff with overflow work and special projects. This may include preparing/revising/redacting documents, creating Table of Contents/Table of Authorities, scanning/converting documents and creating Word and PDF forms. Transcribe handwritten notes, digital and tape dictation. Work in Excel, Summation, and Access databases. Perform Bates labeling and any other special projects as assigned within given deadlines. Provide needed support to other departments in the Firm and provide assistance to other offices when requested. Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Firm seminars and/or nametags for Firm Events. Help answer phones and resolve document issues. Must have High school diploma or equivalent. Should have 1-3 years of experience in a similar field required. 1-2 years of legal assistance experience is preferred. Ability to type 50+ wpm is required. Intermediate MS Word skills is needed. Intermediate Dictaphone and digital transcription skills is must. Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel software applications is essential. Intermediate knowledge of Table of Contents â€“ manual marking and Styles generated is must. Knowledge of PDF conversions is required. Knowledge of PDF Bates labeling and redaction is essential.
