Contract Manager
The candidate will be responsible for providing contract support to the Business Services sales organization and its customers. Responsible for all activities pertaining to contract review for the purchase of Comcast Business Services – including, examination of customer requested revisions to legal terms and conditions, service performance requirements, and pricing to ensure completeness and accuracy. Contracts Manager is a ‘manager' of a queue containing a high volume of sales contracts related to monthly sales activities in various channels. Contracts Managers must successfully negotiate contractual terms directly with customer representatives via phone and document exchanges, as well as providing guidance to field sales organization. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Negotiates contracts for the organization to ensure they comply with business requirements as well as corporate policy through signature. Provides continuous support to carrier sales and business management (access) teams related to contractual advisement & strategy; in conjunction with guidance/approval from Comcast Legal Department. Works on a team with other skilled Contracts Managers. Contract Review includes: examination of contract change requests, special provisions, alternative terms, and pricing; all in compliance with corporate policies and business procedures. Engages corporate legal counsel, as needed, to ensure contract compliance with appropriate laws and regulations. Likewise engages appropriate operations, sales, and finance leadership as appropriate. May act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for certain Business Services programs (as it relates to contracting.). Collaborates with Business Services Sales professionals in support of revenue generation needed. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent. Generally requires 5-7 years related experience. Juris Doctor (JD) required. Should preferably have 4+ years related experience working with commercial contracts, Previous knowledge of telecom/cable/technical industries is desired. Previous contracts manager or paralegal experience is preferred. Previous exposure to sales teams (legal or otherwise) is desired. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to grow and learn from feedback are required. Procurement experience is desired. Must be able to manage a queue containing a high volume of contracts at any given time.
