Paralegal / Legal Assistant Duties: Candidate will provide support and work with multiple attorneys. Preparing Discovery responses. Preparing Status. Reports to clients based on review of File and Claim File. Requesting records. Summarizing records Preparing hearing exhibits. Conducting Legal. Research on LexisNexis relevant to the case. Preparing for hearings and depositions by gathering relevant documents as exhibits. Preparing standard motions, including relevant exhibits and case law. Utilizing Case Management software.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must have general knowledge of the South Carolina and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Must be proficient with e-filing (including PACER) and e-service. Must exhibit workplace professionalism, teamwork, and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure. Critical to success is attention to detail, follow-through, accuracy, communication and organization. Excellent grammar and proof-reading skills required.
