Vice President Corporate Counsel The candidate responsibilities will include: Provides legal advice to company management. Drafts legal documents, including legal memoranda, contract and legal pleadings. Manages outside counsel in assigned matters. Recommends enhancements or changes to the company's operations, systems, and/or contracts to minimize the company's legal risk exposure. Develops targeted, periodic reporting to aid company management in efficient understanding and decision-making. Supports additional responsibilities of the legal department including risk management, regulatory compliance, general litigation, and vendor management. Performs other duties as assigned. Supports the organization's quality program(s). Law degree is required. License to practice law in accordance with applicable legal standards required. Should have 10+ years of related experience required to include 5 years of experience in professional liability, insurance defense, or workers compensation litigation and/or expertise in commercial transactions, civil litigation or comparable legal experience. Must have knowledge of the insurance industry.
