Assistant United States Attorney The candidate will be responsible for filing civil complaints and enforcing civil and criminal judgments, conducting legal research, writing briefs, taking deposits, appearing in court, and conducting investigations. Will analyze complex legal and factual issues. Must have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the Bar (any US jurisdiction), and have 3+ years of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Hiring preferences include 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Must have strong academic credentials, superior legal research and writing skills, and courtroom experience. Should preferably have the ability to manage large, complex investigation and prosecutions. Occasional travel to the Charlotte main office, and to Columbia, SC for training may be required.
