Associate Commercial Counsel, Android
The candidate will advise Android business teams and leadership on business legal matters relating to Android products and partnerships, in collaboration with cross functional teams, including product, competition, IP, and litigation legal teams. Will review, draft and manage a variety of commercial agreements on a daily basis, including licenses, intellectual property agreements, services agreements, and other partnership agreements. Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance. Respond promptly to legal requests from Licensing, Business Development, Advertising Sales, Marketing and other clients, summarizing and communicating legal concepts that business people can use. Advise business clients, as well as finance and other company colleagues, on the legal issues and risks, approval processes, company policies and procedures, intellectual property and business strategy. Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a J.D. or equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience. Must have 3 years of attorney-level experience in a law firm/in-house legal department. Should preferably have 5 years of relevant legal work experience. Experience advising clients in structuring commercial transactions and commercial agreements is required. Experience drafting services agreements, sales agreements, licenses, and intellectual property agreements is preferred. Should be admitted to the Bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in IL. Knowledge and experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations is an asset.
