This position provides an opportunity for an attorney with a solid foundation in real estate finance, capital markets, and securitization to work on complex, high-profile transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a client-focused, solution-driven approach and an aptitude for navigating intricate legal matters in the finance and real estate sectors.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee various commercial finance transactions, focusing on real estate and capital markets.
  • Handle securitization transactions, including loan modifications, workouts, and other related servicing matters.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on a wide range of real estate finance issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and client goals.
  • Draft and negotiate complex documents related to finance, securitization, and real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategies for successful transaction execution.
  • Monitor and stay informed of emerging trends in the finance and real estate sectors to provide strategic legal counsel.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by fostering relationships with clients and supporting firm initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial finance, particularly in real estate finance, capital markets, and securitization.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions, including commercial real estate lending and securitization deals.
  • Strong experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transactional documents.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • A client-centric approach, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Missouri (or eligibility to apply for admission).

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri or actively pursuing licensure.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate finance, including lending and securitization.
  • Familiarity with capital markets and securities transactions.
  • Strong document drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
