Legal Assistant Duties: Work for the following practice areas: estates and guardianships, some estate litigation, wills, trusts and estate planning, and Social Security Disability. Will include: preparing checks for the wardâ€™s expenses, preparing inventories and accountings for estates and guardianships, attend to the mail received for the supervising attorney, communicate with the clients, schedule appointments for the supervising attorney, and prepare correspondence for review by the supervising attorney.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school Diploma. Basic bookkeeping/accounting experience and an affinity for numbers is helpful. Friendly and patient with elderly clients. Stamina for high volume of work. Ability to handle many deadlines. Ability to multi-task. Ability to organize volumes of paperwork. Ability to self-supervise and prioritize work.
